Mental Health Teams provide free services to youth 16 years of age and older.  Services provided include: information, referrals, mental health counseling, housing and outreach community support, intensive case management, social and leisure activities and support services.  Information and education is also provided to the communities of Grey and Bruce.

The society investigates complaints of children alleged to be at risk while providing protection services for children.  They provide free services to children and youth up to 18 years of age.  Services include: working with families towards more effective parenting, recruiting and training for foster care and adoptive parents and placing children for adoption.

Services are free and available to youth 14 to 20 years of age.  Provide assessment and counseling for youth who are affected by their own alcohol/drug abuse or someone else’s.  Outreach is available to area high schools throughout Grey and Bruce as well as support for parents on how to deal with issues related to alcohol and drugs.

A confidential, toll-free 24 hour helpline for troubled and abused young people from 4 to 23 years of age.  The service is completely anonymous and confidential.  Services include: counseling, referrals and Internet services for children and youth. Professional counselors provide immediate and caring support.

Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youthline - 1-800-268-YOUTH
Provides services for youth, by youth that affirms the experiences and aspirations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirited, queer and questioning youth in Ontario.  Support is provided in a queer positive and non-judgmental atmosphere through telephone listening, information and referral services, and through complementary outreach.

M’Wikwedong Native Cultural Resource CentreOwen Sound - 1-866-202-2068
The centre provides services to the Owen Sound Urban Aboriginal population to promote mental, physical, spiritual and emotional well being.  Services for aboriginal and community youth are provided at the Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Centre.  Services promoting cultural and health programs focus on reclamation and understanding aboriginal cultures and practices to identify and attain positive life goals.  Services are free.

A support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth.  The group meets the fourth Thursday of each month from 7-9 pm at the the Ginger Press in Owen Sound. 

Sexual Assault & Partner Abuse Care Centre - Owen Sound - 519-376-2121 ext. 2458
Service for people 12 years of age and older.  Services are based out of the Owen Sound Hospital with a team of nurses available 24/7 for sexual assault assessment.  Provides consultation and/or counseling to men and women who have been sexually assaulted/abused, or who are in an abusive relationship and to their families.  Counseling services are available in the community as well as the hospital.  Provide information/education to the public and non-profit organizations.

Provide support services to women in crisis and who have experienced sexual assault including safer shelter, short term affordable housing, 24 hour crisis line, counseling, information, advocacy, teen group program and community kitchen.  Services are free and confidential.  The centre promotes and supports an equal position for women in society.

A non-profit organization which assists women affected by abuse and provides free services including: safe, supportive shelter, for women and their children, 24 hour crisis line, peer support groups, children’s program, public speaking and community education.  Community counselling services are available in Chesley, Hanover, Port Elgin, Kincardine, Walkerton, Wiarton, Owen Sound, Markdale, Meaford and Durham.  Advocacy and referrals also available.

Provides Cape Croker First Nation and community with youth activities/programs about addiction and prevention of alcohol and drugs. Some activities include: outings, evening programs, mentoring programs and summer camp programs.
 
Saugeen Drug and Alcohol - Southampton - 519-797-2882
Provides Saugeen First Nation with services to give up drinking and drug dependency.  Work to create awareness, acceptance and treatment of alcoholism.  Services include: self help groups, emergency transportation for detoxification purposes and referrals.  A youth worker is available on the reserve for youth 12 to 19 years of age.  Services are free.
